Description: Dataset created by Archipelago Marine Research Ltd. The intertidal zone is depicted as a uniform 15m wide band extending 10m seaward and 5m landward of the shoreline. The actual width of the intertidal zone is highly variable throughout the harbours area, however a representative width was selected in order to represent intertidal features at usable, practical mapping scales. Intertidal shore type, marine influence, intertidal biobands and overall ecological rating for each shore unit are mapped on this band.
