The distribution of the foliose red algae species on the seabed based on visual classification of each second of the video imagery as well as subsequent dive survey verification. Foliose red algae cover is mapped in one of two cover categories (sparse to low cover = trace to 25% cover and moderate to dense cover = 25 to 100% cover). There is a mix of foliose red algae (Chondracanthus, Mazzaella, Mastocarpus, Rhodymenia, Constantinia) which grow primarily on rocky substrate and may be found from the lower intertidal zone to depths of 10m. Foliose red algae often co-occur with filamentous red algae and foliose green algae.", "summary": "", "title": "Foliose Red Algae (Gigartina, Iridaea) <1:15,000", "tags": [], "type": "", "typeKeywords": [], "thumbnail": "", "url": "", "minScale": 0, "maxScale": 0, "spatialReference": "", "accessInformation": "Capital Regional District, 2000", "licenseInfo": "", "portalUrl": "" }
